About Us

GEMX (Girls Excel in Math) is a Memphis-based organization dedicated to improving the gender imbalance in math, striving to encourage, educate, and motivate everyone, including underprivileged and underserved students, in STEM.

In four years, GEMX has grown from focusing on high school math contests to also offering tutoring for middle school students, many of which go on to become tutors as well.
